This side dish can be made in no time & goes well with stuff paratha, pulav, rice etc…
1 cup yogurt
1 1/2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
2-3 curry leaves
1/8 tsp asafoetida
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1 finely chopped green chili (optional for extra spicy)
Salt to taste
In a bowl whisk the yogurt. Add salt to taste.
Heat the oil for tempering. Add mustard seeds. Once it crackle, add curry leaves, asafoetida, green chili. turn off the stove. Add red chili powder ( Make sure to turn off the stove before adding chili powder otherwise it will burn the red chili powder). Then pour the tempering into yogurt & mix. Masala Dahi is ready!!!
Garnish with chopped cilantro. (optional)
Serve Masala Dahi with any Indian main course as side dish!
