Serving: 4-5 People
1 cup roasted sesame seeds
1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)
1 cup finely chopped jaggery
In a nonstick pan melt ghee and jaggery on medium flame. ( Make sure you have roasted sesame seeds before hand). stir jagerry continuously. In few minutes when jaggery starts bubbling, turn off the stove.(it should not be over cooked as it should make sukhadi very soft) Add sesame seeds and mix together. Spread the mixture in greased tray as per required thickness. mark the desired shape immediately with knife. Let it cool for 10-15 min. Now separate the pieces and store in air tight container.
Tal ni sukhadi (sesame seed bar) is ready in no time!! it is very quick sweet and everyone loves to eat specially on makar sankranti festival in Gujarat.
