6 Cup of fine long shreds of sliced Cabbage
3 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
salt to taste
1 tbsp coriander powder
2 tbsp red chili powder
1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
- In a pan heat the oil at medium heat. Add mustard seeds. once mustard seeds start to splitter.. add cumin seeds, turmeric powder & cabbage. mix everything.
- Now increase the heat – between medium to high so that cabbage does not leave water. Cook till it becomes soft but still crunchy . keep mixing in between so that it does not stick to pan. DO NOT ADD SALT BEFORE OTHERWISE IT WILL LEAVE MORE WATER.
- Once cabbage is tender add salt, tomatoes, coriander powder & red chili powder. Mix it well. turn off the stove.
Cabbage Subzi is ready!! Serve it hot with roti, paratha, rice etc..
