Serving: 4 people
3 cup cooked penne pasta (as per the instruction on packet)
3-4 medium size diced tomato
1/2 cup diced green pepper (you can vary this with with different color peppers)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 Ragu homemade style pizza sauce bottle ( 14 oz each)
2 tbsp dried mixed Italian herb powder
1 tbsp dried basil herb powder
1 tbsp dried parsley herb powder
red chili flakes according to taste
1/2 tsp of black pepper
salt according to taste
3 tbsp five cheese Italian cheese mix
In a skillet heat the olive oil.
Add Green pepper, tomato, Italian herb, parsley, basil, black pepper, salt , red chili flakes. cook for some time till oil gets separated.
Now add ragu’s homemade pizza sauce. (you can vary the quantity of sauce & herbs if you like more). Cook for couple of minutes till the sauce & herb are blended well.
Marinara sauce is ready.
Note: Add the pasta & cheese to the marinara sauce right before eating. otherwise most of the sauce will be soaked & pasta will be dry.
Heat up the marinara sauce again if you are eating later. Add cooked pasta & cheese. Mix it well. garnish with some cheese.
Serve with Italian herb & cheese bread, soup, salad etc..
Variation: Instead of penne pasta, any different kind of pasta or spaghetti can be used.
