Rice Krispies treats


Rice Krispies treats – kid’s one of the favorites!

For vegetarian people, buying from market is not a option as it has regular marshmallows which contain gelatin. Make these at home using vegan marshmallows and give your kids a surprise!

Ingredients:

(It can not be stored more than 2 days. This recipe is enough for 2 days so that you don’t waste. Try it for first time and adjust next time if your family needs more)

2 tbsp butter / vegan butter
5 oz of vegan marshmallow (half bag— 1 bag comes for 10 oz)
1.5 – 2 cups rice krispies cereal (you can replace it with cheerios/ different flavor rice krispies or even mix it up! )

Method:

  1. Line a parchment paper in a small square or rectangle baking tray.
  2. In a non-stick skillet, melt butter on low heat. Add marshmallows. Constantly stir till marshmallow melts.
  3. Turn off the stove. Add rice krispies. Mix everything just to be well coated.
  4. Pour the mixture in baking tray with parchment paper. press it to make even layer. Also, you can use another parchment paper on top & then press it to make smooth layer.
  5. Decorate with chocolate chips, drizzle chocolate, sprinkles etc.. depending on your choice.
  6. Let it cool completely. Cut it into square or rectangle shape. Wrap it in parchment paper so it does not stick to another. Store it in air tight container for 2 days.

Perfect for snacks, kids’ party, or if you are craving for a desert!
